Remembering the Iraq War – 15 Years On

In May, the Royal British Legion (RBL) will remember the 15th anniversary of the end of Iraq War, and honour the extraordinary service of the British Armed Forces in the Coalition.

“We are hosting a daytime commemorative event at 12pm at the National Memorial Arboretum, Staffordshire, on Friday 22nd May 2026 – the 15th anniversary of the end of Operation TELIC.

We will remember the lives lost and those affected and pay tribute to the professionalism and dedication of the men and women who served, from the initial invasion to the crucial rebuilding of Iraqi institutions and infrastructure.

We warmly invite all personnel who served with the British Armed Forces and/or their families, including the bereaved, to come together for an afternoon of comradeship and reflection.
