Festival of Remembrance in Dundee.

Our Standard Bearer in Scotland, Abi Barrie, was delighted and proud to be able to attend the Trafalgar celebrations in London this year.

During November, public services of Remembrance will be held at the National Memorial Arboretum on both Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday.

The Chair has written to Dr Murrison to point out that the Attributable Pension was never included in any discussions. The campaign was to rectify the loss of the compensation part, ie the War Widows Pension which became a pension for life in 2015.

We are delighted to advise that we have received confirmation from the MOD in the last few minutes that the launch of the Recognition Payment Application Process will be officially announced later today.

The form which ladies will have to fill in to be able to apply for the ex gratis payment is now complete and is just waiting to be signed off

Following a discussion with Veteran’s UK it is apparent that the application form is still not ready.

The Chair recently emailed the MOD to ask what progress was being made on applications for the payment of the lump sum offered to those who were unable to have their War Pension reinstated.  She pointed out that we had not heard anything for some time and the summer was rushing by.  We received the following reply:-
