Our Secretary was honoured to be invited to this event by Legion Scotland and PoppyScotland to represent WWA. It was an emotional evening, full of beautiful music, moving stories and original footage from D-Day. The presence of 3 D-Day veterans made it even more special.

Our Trustees Debbie, Liz, Richard, David and David’s wife Christine spent 2 days at Duxford Air Show promoting the Association and our Merchandise. Debbie’s dad is the volunteer in red, talking about the Andersen Shelter and how he sat in there as a boy during the Blitz.

David was awarded the OBE ‘For Voluntary Service’. He served as a Trustee at the Royal British Legion for 9 years, and Chair at the National Memorial Arboretum for 8 years.
