“It seems appropriate, today of all days*, to be remembering service and sacrifice. I’m at the Scottish American War Memorial in Edinburgh representing War Widows Association and laying a wreath in honour of our allies.
It was an honour to attend the Scottish American Memorial Day Service in Princes Street Gardens, and in such beautiful weather” WWA Hon Secretary
*our Secretary lost her husband (Royal Navy) due to service related cancer on this day 30 years ago.
The solemn ceremony allowed us to reflect on the immeasurable contributions of those who have served our nation and the resilience of the families left behind.

Our Standard Bearer in Scotland, Abi Barrie, was delighted and proud to be able to attend the Trafalgar celebrations in London this year.
