Following a discussion with Veterans UK it is apparent that the application form is still not ready. They have assured me that it will be ready for distribution very soon. There will be help available for anyone struggling to complete the form. At the moment there are 6 people being trained to give help and advice and I will pass on their names and contact numbers as soon as we receive them. Veterans UK are unable to say how long it will take to process the claims. I imagine that they will be inundated with forms as soon as it goes live and therefore those first ones may take some time to be actioned.
Contrary to information we were given originally there are no plans to announce this payment nationally. Please help to spread the word wherever you can.
