Our Secretary attended the 2024 Royal British Legion Scotland Annual Conference as a guest.
This year they were at ‘The Bridge’ Conference Suite Dumfries and Galloway Council.
Reverend Dr Karen K Campbell BD led the Drumhead Service.
The two-day conference hosted 150 delegates and exhibitors and plays host to a range of speakers and Legion business.
Invited guests and speakers included the Lord Lieutenant of Dumfries, Fiona Armstrong and Scottish Veterans Commissioner, Susie Hamilton. Susie referred to the military bereaved and made particular mention of the War Widows Association’s ongoing issues with the recognition payment and her active involvement.
