Today we said a sad farewell to the forces sweetheart, Dame Vera Lynn who dedicated her life to supporting the Armed Forces community. Her performances around the world helped sustain the fortitude of the deployed personnel and her radio shows brought home just a little closer.
We remember her with fond memories.
The solemn ceremony allowed us to reflect on the immeasurable contributions of those who have served our nation and the resilience of the families left behind.
