Yesterday, member Jacquie Whiteley, accompanied by Mini Finlay, was proud to lay our wreath at the service in Newhaven, East Sussex, to commemorate Operation Jubilee – the disastrous raid in 1942 – to try to land in France at Dieppe. Over a third of the servicemen were lost and the survivors were mostly brought back through the little port of Newhaven.
Participants included representatives from the Canadian High Commission and the Mayor of Dieppe.
