We heard late yesterday that His Majesty The King has graciously agreed to retain his Patronage of the War Widows Association.

MOD Data Breach

Members will have seen in recent news that MOD have been alerting Military Personnel (serving and veterans) about a recent data breach which may risk the personal data of members.

Anzac Day: London

Our Chair represented us at the dawn service in Wellington Barracks and afterwards at the Cenotaph and in Westminster Abbey.

Anzac Day: Glasgow

Our Trustee, Kate Thomas, represented us at the dawn service at the Commonwealth War Graves in Glasgow.

Anzac Day: Edinburgh

Our Secretary represented us at the dawn service at the Commonwealth War Graves in Comely Bank Cemetery in Edinburgh.

WWA Trustee Awarded OBE

David was awarded the OBE ‘For Voluntary Service’. He served as a Trustee at the Royal British Legion for 9 years, and Chair at the National Memorial Arboretum for 8 years.
