Campaign 300 – update 26th May 2023

Sized for news items

On Friday 26 May 2023 we had a very useful meeting with the senior MOD civil servant coordinating the ‘offer’ announced by the MOD on 17 May 2023.  Whilst we were pleasantly surprised by the announcement – which was unexpected – we recognise that it lacked much detail, which has prompted many of you to contact us with questions.  A summary of the meeting will be available early next week – with some answers.  But as the MOD works to set up a system for ladies to apply and speaks to other government departments, some answers will take a little longer.

Please be patient, we will get the information to you – those directly involved in the campaign as well as the wider Association Membership – as quickly as we can.  But as we have said before, the Committee of Trustees are all volunteers and have their own family lives and issues to deal with.

But we have not ‘accepted’ the offer – and we are still working very hard on your behalf.  If you see any reports or press releases by the Association do let us know – we have sent out many to the main news outlets.  Similarly, if you see any that you think are wrong, or inaccurate – let us know so we can investigate and issue corrections.
